Rivers wasn't cheaper, but he was younger. Once again, my point is that Brees wasn't a SURE thing like you said he was. His injury was a factor, otherwise Miami would have picked him up. Instead, they went with Culpepper. Bad choice of course, but Miami was concerned about the shoulder.

I think at some point, this team is going to take a risk in terms of getting their QB. I guess you could make the argument that they did that with McNabb, but who knows maybe they do need to pay a bit of a ransom to get an RG3 or Luck. Still, there are very few sure things out there in terms of QBs. Let's just hope any risk we take works out for once.
